JTA SKYWAY ROUTINE INSPECTION
JTA SKYWAY ROUTINE INSPECTION
FIT Engineering was a subconsultant to RS&H on this project which consisted of a routine inspection of the JTA Skyway, an elevated monorail in downtown Jacksonville. The Skyway infrastructure is composed of 334 spans, for a total length of 5.5 miles. Primary superstructure types include prestressed double tee beams and steel box girders for which confined space atmospheric monitoring and protocols were used. As the Project Manager, Ms. Johnson’s duties included organizing, scheduling, and planning; coordination with stakeholders such as JTA, FDOT, City of Jacksonville, CSX and local businesses; developing MOT plans and scheduling lane closures; leading the inspection effort in the field and writing the inspection report.
