DANIEL CARTER BEARD BRIDGE INSPECTION

The Daniel Carter Beard (Big Mac) Bridges are a pair of yellow tied arch structures that carry I-471 across the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati, connecting Ohio and Kentucky.  The arches are 760 feet in length and nearly 160 feet tall.

The bridges were inspected using rope access and the insides of the arch ribs were inspected using confined space access techniques and monitoring requirements.
