VOLUSIA COUNTY PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE INSPECTIONS

This project entailed performing NBIS biennial bridge inspections for two Volusia County pedestrian bridges.  The Ocean Walk Bridge is a covered prefabricated steel through truss bridge that carries pedestrian traffic over SR-A1A between a parking garage and the Ocean Walk Village shopping center in Daytona Beach.  The Clyde Morris Bridge is a prestressed concrete beam bridge with concrete slab approach ramps that carries pedestrian traffic over Clyde Morris Blvd. at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona.

The inspections were performed on foot, with rope access techniques and with the use of a bucket truck. Responsibilities were to coordinate and mobilize for the inspection, lead the field work, and update the FDOT District 5bridge records.
